  Artistic Biography

Helena Maier was born and grew up in Salem at the Lake Constance in the south of Germany.

She began her musical education at Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2009 with stottish Soprano Nan Christie. She then studied Music at the Conservertoire Freiburg, Germany, where she got her degree in Opera Performance in April 2016.

From 2017 to 2019 she was working with Prof. Fenna Kügel-Seifried, University of Music and Theatre Munich.

She is a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Society and took part in masterclasses with Thomas Heyer and Sebastian Hamann.

Helena Maier took part in a variety of opera productions with Opera Gold London, the Freiburg Institut for Opera and the Stadttheater Freiburg.

She appeared in Concerts at the Konzerthaus Freiburg, the Mozartfest Bad Krozingen, the Freiburg Chambermusic Festival and many more. Helena Maier has a special passion for Romantic and late Romantic Lied. Her repertoire includes Vaughan Williams "Merciless Beauty" and Crumbs "Three Early Songs".
