Pilavachi) and at the Theater of Hildesheim in Kálmán's "Countess Maritza" as Zsupán and Henze's “The Young Lord” as Prof. v. Mucker (D: H.-P. Lehmann).
After studying singing, Jan Kristof Schliep was a permanent member of the ensemble at the TfN · Theater für Niedersachsen Hildesheim for nine years.

Hiller's opera of the same name (D: A . Heil) can also be found in his repertoire. He was awarded the price of the "Freunde des Theaters für Niedersachsen" for "outstanding artistic achievement".
In autumn 2016 Jan Kristof Schliep ended his permanent engagement at TfN and since then has specialized even more in roles of the Charakter and jugendlicher Heldentenor fach as a freelance singer. This increasing specialization has been accompanied by the opera coach Axel Heil (Hanover) for several years.

In 2019 Jan Kristof Schliep sang Tamino (Mozart: “The Magic Flute” | D: J. Korving) in the premiere of the Dutch translation by Jan Rot and sang several roles in Ch. Meijering's contemporary opera “St. Louis Blues "(D: J. Kriek) with the orkest de ereprijs, one of the most prestigious ensemble for new music in the Netherlands.
