  Artistic Biography

When I was around three years old, on a ladder in the middle of the living room, I would love to recreate a scene from a children's musical tale. I was in love with Gene Kelly and Papageno, and was hesitating between a carrer as Kim Novack, the queen of the night or Carmen. It was therefore only natural for me to join a music school, then the conservatory's children choir and the tap dance Company Sylvie Kay (formely Académie Alice Kay).

My passion for sound and word always have led me towards very diverse styles, towards intimacy within an acoustic or theatrical whole, from the solo to the gigantic. Thankfully, my vocal capacities and my appearance have allowed me to be this versatile. After two years with Jan-Marc Bruin and a Bachelor's degree in musicology, I studied opera with Brigitte Lindner at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne. I made my debuts in Aachen and Cologne (the child in "L'enfant et les sortilèges", Ramiro in "La finta Giardiniera", erste Dame and erster Revolutionär in "Das geheime Königreich", and in operas for children), as well as in my first world premiere, "Amerika" after Kafka.
The second prize in the competition Gitarre Plus X and my participation in the charity program LiveMusicNow, as well as my joigning the Wagner foundation of Wuppertal and several international master classes completed this experience. I had the luck of learning from Luana DeVol, Dalia Schächter, Johannes Martin Kränzle, Heinz Holliger, John Norris or Marcelo Amaral a.o. Since my Bachelor's finals recital, I have been creating and staging my own concert programs.

During my Master's, I joigned the Opernstudio Niederrhein in Krefeld/Mönchengladbach, where I sang eight roles, as well as many concerts of opera, Lied and oratorio. During this time, I also sang Kuchtík in Rusalka in Bonn. I continued appearing on the opera stage in many roles, including prince Orlofsky in "Die Feldermaus", Mercédès in "Carmen", and Niklausse in "Les contes d'Hoffmann".

In 2016 I enrolled in a Master's degree in contemporary music in Cologne, with Kai Wessel and David Smeyers. I discovered during these two years that I was truly passionate about the challenges and freedom that come with this repertoire.

Since 2016, I have been working with vocal coach Neil Semer, sang eleven world premieres, worked with many composers (George Aperghis, Julia Myháli, Hans-Joachim Hespos and Jesús Torres i.a.), began to learn classical improvisation with Michael Gees and co-created three modern music ensembles. I work regularly with the choirs of WDR, SWR and BR.

I also wrote the libretti to two pieces to be composed in 2020/21 by respectively Andranik Fatalyan and Jonah Haven. My newest projects are a solo program with electronics, and my participation in Stockhausen's "Sternklang" in the renowned festival Acht Brücken in 2020/21. I teach singing and fitness for musicians in a structure I co-founded in Cologne, and am very excited to be at the beginning of a carrier that allows me to stay eclectic and to fully live my intention to combine a technically reliable singing, a voice that I want to keep always full and with timbre in all the acoustic elaborations, and my love for movement, my creativity.
